Running in & Service info for Charger 1300 & 1360 2V & 4V engines

Starting info

Never use choke see starting video click on below photo

Warm up

2 valve engines need at least 3 min warm up time before riding

4 Valve engines need 5 min minuim warm up before riding with no more than 4000 rpm

 

Engine oil

Use 20/50 grade Semi synth ot Minaral oil

First oil change 100 miles

Oil change after on each 300 miles there on.

Clutch cover magnet

Remove cover to access magnet clean in situ each 500 miles, but clean after the first 100 miles from new.

Also clean out oil strainer below oil pump.

                                                                                      

Head torque

Check head torque after the first running session when cold 18 ft-lbs 24.4 Nm

Flywheel/Drive gear/Clutch torque

40 Ftlbs 55 NM

Valve clearnce

2 Valve engine Inlet 4 thou/0.10mm Exhaust 6 thou/0.15mm Check each 300 to 500 miles

4 Valve engine Inlet 4 thou/0.10mm Exhaust 4 thou/0.10mm  check each 500 miles

Wiring from stator

Blue/White = Trigger pulse coil stator to CDI

Black/Red = Source coil feed Stator to CDI

Green = Common earth

CDI

Black/white = Kill switch, earth out to stop.

Black/yellow = Feed to coil
